Arch 2 Arc - Enduroman Coaching

The world's hardest triathlon!

After the success of 2019 Enduroman #43, Daniel Coughlan, 2023-24 has seen us working hard alongside entrant Paul Robinson.  Following a 52 week training plan, and after waiting several days for a suitable weather window, Paul departed Marble Arch at 21:00 on Thursday 12th September, and arrived at the Arc de Triomphe at 19:04 on Sunday 15th September.

With an elapsed time of 67 hours and 3 minutes, he broke the existing non-wetsuit record by 2 hours and 23 minutes.  Whilst this may seem a substantial margin, the event was far from uneventful with both a challenging run and swim in particular.

2025 Reka Udvardy

Meeting up with Reka at this year's Arch 2 Arc swim camp in Lanzarote, I was impressed with how she balances her training with her work and caring for her young son.  Talking with her about her preparations, it was hard to not get caught up in her infectuous enthusiasm and we join forces to support her in her final months ready for her late September solo challenge.

2024 - 25 John Phillips

John Phillips joins the team for the late October Arch 2 Arc challenge.  Applying a disciplined and focussed methodology to his swim and run preparations in particular, John is making the most of the available training time to maximise his skill development and become as efficient as possible whilst combining a range of alternative approaches to his training.

2024 - 25 Jake Taylor

Jake in the New Bath Hotel swimming pool undergoing swim video analysis as a part of a two day assessment and review as we progress into specific training for his 2025 Arch2Arc attempt.  The two days reviewed his open water swimming, pool swimming, run analysis and bike lactate testing.  Pleasingly, he is making good progress toward his objective.

2024 - 26 Claire Smith

Claire Smith begins her A2A take 2 after her solo run around Mallorca. taking up the option of a two staged approach, we will work with Claire to develop her allround strength and fitness for a year before launching her on an A2A specific programme.
